Let me explain- years ago I used to own an item very similiar to this one except it held a toilet brush in it's backside. It had a longer, slender neck and I loved it! That was until I knocked it over one day and broke it..Oops. Anyhow, I thought this item would be more like my previous cat. The item description does not clearly state that it is PLASTIC! Not ceremaic. I was just assuming it might be ceramic since the picture was so shiney. I do not prefer the plastic and would have been happier with a heavier, better material. The litter scoop itself does not fit well in the holder. You have to wrestle around with getting it in place (in the neck) or it will fall out to the sides and obviously be in sight. The litter scoop itself is also small and generally a cheap scoop. The cat is also slightly disfiguired with a short body and rather robust bottom making it look slighlty odd. (Baby definately "got back")
My overall impression is that it is kind of cute for what it is, and will serve it's function to a point: If you don't mind dealing with the scoop not being a wonderful fit inside the back.
