(More customer reviews)I have a medium-sized rabbit in a large dog crate. This little box comes with two plastic attachments that screw down between cage bars. My dog crate bars were spaced too far apart to fit these attachments, but I just bent the bars with a pair of pliers wrapped in a rag. Alternatively, I could have constructed a plate out of wood that would have had the same result. This litter box fits nicely in the corner, and the rabbit uses it exclusively until it is full. If I don't clean it in time, he will move on to blankets and stuff. At first, I was putting the paper litter on top of the bars, but the rabbit would dig them out. Then I started filling the bottom under the bars, and that kept the urine smell down until I could change the litter, but the crottel would pile up on top. After experiencing both methods, I have decided that the best thing is to put four packed cups of paper litter in the bottom, which fills the bottom a third of the way up. Then the urine is absorbed into the litter, and the crottel falls into the container. The rabbit seems to like it, and I do is well. Overall, it is a simple and efficient design, and if I ever have additional small animals in the future, I would buy this product again.
