You will spend less time cleaning soiled cages if you use these potties. They were lifesavers when I used them. I bought like 3, five or six yrs ago and they still work great. Use 'Fresh Step' regular kitty litter with these. You can get it at any grocer. It turns out to be the best litter for odor control and the hammies don't appear affected or allergic to it. Every hamster I've ever owned has used this potty for a litter. If they don't go to it is probably because the type of litter affects their respiratory system.
