(More customer reviews)I just received this item today and thought I would add my comments in reference to the material quality and ease of assembly. The instructions are fairly simple (illustration only) and all of the hardware/components were labeled by either a lower case or capital letter. The majority of the product feels sturdy and heavy with the exception of the magnet for the door catch and the back. The back is a thinner, lighter piece of material than the rest that just slides into a groove on the side pieces. The magnet is in a flimsy plastic case and is attached with 2 very small screws. I could see this needing to be replaced in the near future.
The other problem I had was that three of the eight cam locks broke with just normal assembly.(planning on calling customer service to see if they will send replacements)
The exterior walls (with the exception of the back) are sturdy, the overall look is attractive. The espresso finish matched my furniture pretty well and the door knob is slightly more matte than a chrome finish. I have 3 cats ranging from 17 lbs to about 10 lbs. I have an extra large kitty litter box and it fit in perfectly. The top edge of the box is flush with the bottom of the opening. I did line the bottom of this with puppy pads in case there is spillage. I think the material could get stinky if there is nothing between the litter box and the bottom.
Only one cat has used it so far. I will update if there are any problems but so far it is serving it's purpose as an attractive mask for an ugly kitty litter box. So far I would recommend it.

Well the cats finally started using this on a regular basis but there is one problem. The cats do not go far enough back to prevent urinating through the door hole onto the floor. They were very hesitant to use it and I think it might have been from the strong, fume like odor that came off of it. I noticed it when I unpacked it at first but just assumed it would go away after a day or two. It smelled like a strong oil based paint or chemical smell. Once I opened the door and let it air out a bit then the cats started using it and I can keep the door closed now. I decided to invest in a rubbermaid mat to go under this (even though it's on tile) to help contain the spillage. Hopefully the cats will figure out to move further back.

The cats have finally got the hang of going far enough back to prevent any "spillage" from the door opening. There is minimal kitty litter in front of the door and no odor. I have put a puppy pad under the litter box to prevent the wood from soaking anything up in case of accidents. Like I predicted when I first assembled the box the plastic housing for the magnet broke. I was able to get a replacement for it as well as the cam locks. Works great- would definitely recommend.
