(More customer reviews)I am a professional pet sitter and I have seen every possible attempt to control litter scatter outside of the box. Trust me, this design is the only true answer to that annoying mess that the cat will inevitably leave no matter what kind of litter you use.
The top is a grate and literally catches nearly all of the litter stuck to your cat's paws and it is then dropped down to a tray below. To clean, you simply remove the top and dump the stray litter in the garbage. The best part is that your cat will not continue to walk back and forth through tossed out litter thereby creating more mess. Once it is dropped into the tray, it is out of the way. NO MORE MESS!
For some reason, PetSmart stopped carrying the square version (and any version, for that matter) and I prefer that one to this. BUT the design is basically the same and results are awesome.
