(More customer reviews)I like the fact that this design is so different then other litter boxes. I knew it was a bit bigger then most but I got it and made room. When I got Mukie from the selter and showed him the box he took to it just fine. I even put a carpet down on the steps thinking it would help with traking litter every where. Mukie lays on the steps and just chills at times. When I am cleaning the box he plays in the lid and is not always happy when I take it back. As far as helping with the smell, "No One" knows I have a kitten unless I tell them or they see him, so I would say it helps with smell. I clean it at least every other day if not every day. It is a great box!!!
