(More customer reviews)I purchased the Lucky Champ litter box for my older cat who was beginning to have accessibility issues with his other litter box. The lower front lip of the box makes it easier for older cats to get in and out of.
He took to it immediately. It's been going strong for over a year now and he loves it.
My cat always enjoyed playing in the litter box. A canopy is a must for him. He spends time randomly digging, flinging litter and pawing along the sides of the canopy. It is odd to have pink dots for a boy cat, but that's more for me than for him anyways. ;) My cat is a maine coon mix and saying he needs room in the litter box is an understatement, but when he's in this thing you can tell he just feels more comfortable. Opening the canopy to clean the litter box is as easy as lifting up on the front tab at the bottom of the canopy. Then you just pull it down once done, over the small lip on the front of the litter box. You can clean the canopy with a wet washcloth easy enough.
While away on vacation the cat sitter did manage to break the back plastic tab that holds the back of the canopy on the litter box (she's a rough one). I emailed Lucky Champ and got a quick response from a friendly rep. They offered to replace the part for me. This company stands behind their product and it was refreshing to get that kind of customer service.
Wish they'd come out with some new patterns/color combinations for the canopy.
Definitely no regrets with this purchase!
