(More customer reviews)When I received this box I was very confused by the second box nestled within the outer box. The inner box is some sort of sieve and I cannot for the life of me understand how it is supposed to work. (I am currently using the inner box to hold my onions and potatoes.) The problem is that when you remove the inner box, the litter guard does not fit perfectly over the litter box. Actually, it fits alright, but there are two inch gaps on both ends through which your cat will keep kicking out litter onto your rug. (You will have to buy the box to truly understand, I guess.) I solved the problem by spreading duct tape over gaps, and it worked like a charm.
Now, I am happy to report, the box works as it should. No more accidental pee-pee on the rug. Yay!
Oh, and the box also comes with the tiniest of litter scoops which you should throw out or, as I did, add to your kitties' toy collection. (My Jerry really enjoys using it as a chew toy.) For the most brilliant litter scoop I have ever used, and this is especially for those of us with weak wrists, try googling the Litter Lifter.
